Biography

Sabina Albegova was born in January 1999 in Vladikavkaz. Her mother has been working as a pharmacist for many years. Her parents divorced when Sabina was a teenager. She has two elder sisters.

Since childhood, Sabina was engaged in folk dances and sang in the choir. She carried these hobbies through the years. The girl graduated from the medical academy and completed a residency in cardiology. After working as a physiotherapist for a year, she got a job as a cardiologist in a clinic, where she worked until her arrest.

For a long time, Sabina unsuccessfully searched for answers to life's questions in different religions. "When I was studying medicine, I came to the conclusion that there must be a reasonable Creator behind the amazing structure of the body," Sabina recalls. "I started studying the Bible and quickly realized that I had found the truth." Soon she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Sabina met her future husband Magamed in the company of mutual friends. In October 2022, they got married. Magamed is a welder by profession; He is fond of football. Spouses often watch music shows and sing together.

Sabina described the reaction of her relatives to the sudden criminal prosecution: "At first, the family was in shock. But when they saw the care and love that my friends surrounded me with, their hearts calmed. My family sees the hand of God in my life."

Case History

In March 2025, Sabina Albegova and her husband were interrogated as witnesses in a criminal case against their fellow believer. In October, the Investigative Committee opened a case against Albegova herself - she was accused of participating in meetings for worship, detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center.
