Case History
In June 2026, investigators conducted searches at two addresses in Shchelkovo, during which they detained the couple Sergey and Tatyana Volkov and their friend Natalya Krasnobaeva. During the search of Nataliya’s house, there was only her adult daughter with a small child, who was very frightened by the armed law enforcement officers. The Volkovs and Krasnobaeva were charged with organizing and participating in the activities of a banned religious organization. Sergey was placed in a pre-trial detention center, and the women were placed under house arrest.
